Heritage listed Golden Valley Tree Park contains an interesting collection of trees from all over the planet and is the State's largest arboretum; part landscaped park in the "English" tradition, part series of Australian panoramas and part dense conifer forest. Located at the entrance to the Park the restored Golden Valley Homestead (c.1890) is gatehouse to a beautiful valley that has been progressively landscaped for over a century. The Old Cheese Factory Craft Centre - Balingup-Nannup Road - 2.5km from Balingup

The old factory buildings were purchased in 1979 and converted into a working pottery and exhibition centre for artists and craftspeople. The present owners concentrate on providing a centre for the display of south west art and crafts. Greenbushes Eco-Cultural Discovery Centre - 38 Blackwood Road, Greenbushes

Explore the "Discovery Forest" and learn about bush tucker, forest ecology and harvesting and milling of timber from native forests and plantations. Take a ride on a log truck in our re-created back, operate a timber mill, get dried in our kiln and see the final products produced from wood.
